Brain Train’s physiotherapists and exercise physiologists have expertise and skills in managing a range of conditions affecting physical development, mobility and a person’s ability to participate in the activities of everyday life.
Specific goals are developed in consultation with both child and family. Treatment approaches and plans are developed by our therapists to target the strengths, challenges and needs of the client in order to achieve specific independence, socialisation, life or motor skill goals.
Plans and interventions might include specific goal-focused exercises or movement patterns, strength programming, gait retraining, neurodevelopmental and sensorimotor interventions, cardiorespiratory intervention and education.
In addition to autism and other developmental differences, some of the other challenges our therapists can assist with include:
- Developmental or motor milestone delay
- Coordination issues and clumsiness
- Acquired Brain Injury
- Cerebral Palsy and muscular dystrophies and atrophies
- Musculoskeletal issues and disorders
- Specific motor skill deficits
